JAMES Corden has been offered an £8million two-year TV deal.
The contract to continue hosting smash US series The Late Late Show, would make him the highest paid British telly star abroad.
His initial five-year deal — believed to be worth £10million — expires in 2020.
Bosses at CBS are desperate to keep him following the global success of show segments including Carpool Karaoke.
James said: “I’m not sure when I am coming home now — that is still up for discussion. We are in negotiations.”
A studio source said: “The feeling is that James deserves a significant pay hike.”
The contract dwarfs Piers Morgan’s reported £4million three-year deal with CNN.
