LOVE Island star Dr Alex George has melted fans' hearts with his over-the-moon reaction to friend Samira Mighty's recoupling with Sam Bird.

The hunky doctor, 27, was seen breaking into a wide smile when Georgia Toffolo's personal trainer, 25, said her name.

Sam was left to choose between the West End star, 22, and Welsh lawyer Rosie Williams, 26.

When he decided to give unlucky-in-love Samira a chance, Alex couldn't have looked happier.

Sat next to Ellie Brown, 20 - who he had opted to recouple with - the doctor appeared delighted.

Fans spotted his genuine, very sweet expression when hearing the news.

They took to Twitter to share how his natural reaction had melted their hearts.

One wrote: "after seeing alex reaction when sam picked samira, I genuinely want alex and samira to be together instead"

It comes after fans blasted Adam Collard over his "fake" apology to Rosie earlier in the show.

They accused him of saying sorry just to save face.

He apologised, but viewers pointed out that there appeared to be a hidden meaning in his words that suggested he's not actually sorry for his behaviour.

Adam told her: "I’m sorry that you were upset" and fans think it proves he still think she is to blame.
