When was Sophie Gradon on Love Island, when did she split from Tom Powell and why did she quit the series?
SOPHIE Gradon shot to fame on Love Island in 2016.
Here's the lowdown on her time in the villa and why she quit, following the sad news of her death at the age of 32...
Who was Sophie Gradon? When was she on Love Island?
Sophie Gradon was on series two of Love Island in 2016.
She starred alongside Cara De La Hoyde and Olivia Buckland.
In 2009 she was crowned Miss Great Britain.
She was working as a marketing manager before she appeared on the ITV2 reality show and briefly dated Rugby player Danny Cipriani in 2013.
Who was Sophie coupled up with on Love Island? Why did she quit the show?
During her time on Love Island Sophie was coupled up with Tom Powell.
But their relationship was tested with the arrival of Tom's ex Emma Jane-Woodham - so he quit the show.
After he left the island Sophie went on to make history by coupling up with Katie Salmon - the show's first same-sex pairing.
However, Sophie quit the show to get back with Tom after realising she didn't have feelings for Katie.
Did Tom Powell and Sophie Gradon stay together after Love Island?
Unfortunately, the couple didn't last long together.
Sophie and Tom split in November 2016 after both accused the other of cheating.
On Instagram Sophie wrote a now deleted post which read: “Some people are meant to fall in love with each other, but not be together”.
She then posted screenshots which appeared to show Tom sending messages to another woman and asking her for her number.
Tom retaliated by posting a picture which he claimed showed Sophie cheating on him with a mystery man in the same week that she quit Love Island.
