Ant McPartlin’s new lover Anne-Marie Corbett says his ex-wife sacked her as his PA and ‘always hated’ her
ANT McPartlin’s new lover is furious after his estranged wife portrayed her as a close friend who betrayed her, telling pals: “She sacked me.”
Anne-Marie Corbett, 42, has been growing close to Ant during recent months after previously working as a personal assistant to the star and his wife Lisa.
But friends say the two women clashed regularly while working together, with Anne-Marie believing Lisa, 41, never liked her — before she eventually fired her.
After news of Ant’s new relationship was revealed, Lisa tweeted: “She was my friend and OUR PA who I let into OUR home.”
But a source close to Ant, 42, hit back, insisting: “Anne-Marie is really upset at the way Lisa is trying to portray them as great friends.
“It’s really unfair – she’s trying to make out this is some sort of betrayal, but that just isn’t the case.
“She hated working for Lisa and they didn’t get on well at all. They often clashed.
“In the end Lisa sacked her. That’s hardly the actions of someone’s ‘best mate’.
“Anne-Marie’s biting her tongue, but she’s hurt and angry by the way this is playing out from Lisa’s end.”
Anne-Marie supported Ant through rehab in the wake of his drink-driving conviction earlier this year, which saw him fined £86,000 and banned for two years.
The separated mum-of-two has been described as his “rock” after showing up at the police station and in court following his arrest.

LISA is furious with Ant after he asked her to hand over her jewellery so it could be valued for their divorce settlement.
A source said his legal team wanted the gems, including necklaces and rings bought for her by Ant, to be assessed by an expert — but she would not hand them over.
The source added: “Lisa refused because she fears she’ll never see them again. It’s causing a rift — but is just one of many things.
“There have also been heated rows about money, property, all sorts of things — this is just the latest thing to drive a wedge even further between them.”
The pair originally agreed to keep their divorce amicable but a series of blazing rows over his £62 million fortune have turned it increasingly acrimonious.
Yesterday she was pictured for the first time since news of the relationship emerged — as she left her home in South West London.
Sources say Ant is determined to move on and start again after his addiction crisis.
He is also keen to finalise his divorce amid ongoing rows with his estranged wife.
A friend said of the new romance: “He’s had a tough time of it, but Anne-Marie has put a smile back on his face again. She has been his rock.
“They have been living in each other’s pockets, day in, day out. Knowing someone is there for him has brought him back from the brink - she’s put him back together again.
“It’s very early days, but everyone is hoping he can put the worst year of his life behind him and find happiness again. Both of them deserve it.”
Ant is currently on a long-term break from work while he deals with his issues.
