The 35-year-old actress is related to the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Frances FitzGerald and her grandfather was the deputy director of the CIA during the Kennedy administration.
In 2010, the star featured in a New York production of Hedda Gabler and played to an audience of just 25 people.
