James Martin chugs wine and beer as he whips up a feast at BBC Good Food Show
Celebrity chef James looked as though he was having the time of his life at the event in Birmingham today
JAMES Martin mixed beer and wine as he cooked up a feast at the BBC’s Good Food Show in Birmingham.
A large crowd gathered to watch the former Saturday Kitchen host show off his culinary skills.
The hot conditions saw 45-year-old James chugging a glass of chilled white wine as well as a bottle of Peroni throughout his masterclass.
He beamed as he gave instructions to his fans and talked them through one of his popular lamb recipes.
After the show he shared a selfie with the crowd in the background and thanked everyone for coming to watch him.
One jokingly asked him: “How many beers do you have?” while others said they loved his show.
Another added: “You was so funny and the food smelt amazing!”
Since quitting Saturday Kitchen Live last year, James went on to get a brand new show on ITV.
The pre-recorded programme airs at the same time as his former BBC programme but is filmed in the week – meaning James has more times for his friends and family.
After moving jobs James admitted he was keen to lose weight after panicking about the new high definition cameras.
He told The Mail Online: “I've lost a stone-ish. I just think it's a lifestyle thing and also looking at yourself on TV...
“You get critical of yourself. You kind of watch and go, 'Oh God there's a bit of a chin happening there'.
“And everybody's TVs are bigger now. Before you used to watch TV on a small one and now they're massive!”
