Thousands of Twitter and Facebook users shared claims that David and Victoria Beckham were set to split.
It even became one of the internet's "trending topics" and bookmaker Paddy Power suspended betting on the likelihood of a divorce.
But the Beckhams' management hit back at the claims.
A spokeswoman for the couple said: “There is no statement due or divorce.
"This is just fake social media news.
“This is all very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time.”
A spokesman added: "It's a crock of s**t".
Victoria posted a pic on Instagram this morning with Harper addressed to David that said: "We love and miss u."
When was David and Victoria Beckham's wedding?
Victoria and David Beckham got married on July 4, 1999.
The wedding ceremony was conducted by the Bishop of Cork Paul Colton at Luttrellstown Castle on the outskirts of Dublin.
Gary Neville was David's best man and their son Brooklyn, who was four at the time, acted as ring bearer.
The wedding was covered in an exclusive deal with OK! magazine and is estimated to have cost £500,000.
