Rod Stewart narrowly avoids spilling red wine all over his pristine white suit during dinner at a posh London restaurant with wife Penny Lancaster
ROD Stewart had a near miss while out for dinner with wife Penny Lancaster last night - after almost spilling red wine down his pristine white suit.
The Maggie May singer and Loose Women's Penny were enjoying a slap up meal at celebrity hot spot Scott's in Mayfair on Wednesday evening.
The star, 73, and Penny, 47, sat outside the fish restaurant as they enjoyed their dinner.
But when the couple went to leave, a glass of pinot was knocked over - and narrowly avoided Rod's pristine outfit.
It's not clear how red wine ended up all over the floor as the couple made their exit - it looked as if Penny and Rod had spring water and white wine with their meal.
The couple, who remained stain-free, then made their way to their waiting, chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce.

Rod and Penny have remained relationship goals for adoring fans since they married in 2007.
Despite his rock-and-roll past, Penny has said Rod is very much the “traditional” husband.
From doing the heavy lifting – literally – during their annual Christmas tidy-up to dealing with more serious issues, like helping Penny through her dyslexia battle.
Last year, they celebrated their 10-year-anniversary by renewing their vows at their Essex home.
The pair have two kids together - Alastair and Aiden.
Rod has previously called Penny his "diamond" and he loves having her by his side.
He said: "I have been married three times and I say this with all honesty, I have got a great woman now.
“Maybe it is because I am a little bit older and I understand women a lot better than I used to.
"But I have got a diamond by my side now. She really is and I can’t say any more than that.”
