When the saucy show was first launched, it was set in the tropical resort of Fiji and featured a line-up of love-hungry celebrities.

The first series was won by Jayne Middlemiss and Fran Cosgrave.

It also featured stars including Calum Best, Paul Danan, Michael Greco and Rebecca Loos.

Love Island was initially hosted by Patrick Kielty and Kelly Brook, with Fearne Cotton replacing the model for season two.
