First ever Love Island villa and celebrity snaps uncovered
It's been 13 years since the show's launch and the set looked dramatically different back then
PICTURES of the first ever Love Island villa snaps have emerged and show just how different the set look when the show launched back in 2005.
It's been 13 years since the series first hit TV and it's gone through some serious changes.
When the saucy show was first launched, it was set in the tropical resort of Fiji and featured a line-up of love-hungry celebrities.
The first series was won by Jayne Middlemiss and Fran Cosgrave.
It also featured stars including Calum Best, Paul Danan, Michael Greco and Rebecca Loos.
Love Island was initially hosted by Patrick Kielty and Kelly Brook, with Fearne Cotton replacing the model for season two.
The second season of the show was also set in Fiji, and featured contestants including Brendan Cole, Boyzone's Shane Lynch and model Sophie Anderton.
There was heartbreak for Love Island fans when the show was cancelled in 2006 after just two series and they had to wait almost a decade for it to return.

It was eventually brought back in 2015 with Caroline Flack as host and the celebrities had been swapped for regular singletons.
The villa was also moved from Fiji to Mallorca - an island much closer to home - and given a total makeover.
Gone was the tropical island style of the previous two years, and in its place was a modern and chic design.
