BGT winner Lost Voice Guy reveals he auditioned for X Factor six years ago but show ‘rejected him without even a smile’

BRITAIN'S Got Talent winner Lost Voice Guy previously auditioned for The X Factor - because he thought it would be "funny" to see how producers reacted.
Comedian Lee Ridley, who triumphed in last night's BGT live final, went along to the 2012 auditions at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena and performed the Westlife song I Believe I Can Fly.

But despite needing a special computer to communicate, after losing his speech as a baby due to cerebral palsy, Lee was not questioned by producers.
And in a new video, unearthed by The Sun Online, he admitted that he was unable to even raise a smile after asking them if he had "sounded too flat".
In the footage, Lee can be heard discussing his X Factor experience during a small comedy gig.
Using his computer - called a Lightwriter - to speak, he told the intimate crowd: "I used to think about going on The X Factor just to see their faces when they realised I can't actually sing. Or dance. Or talk.

"I don't wonder about this anymore - the X Factor auditions came to the area recently so I went along.
"I thought I would be in with a chance because Gareth Gates became successful despite his 's.s.s.s.s.s.s' stutter.
"I'll be honest, I never even expected to reach the judges - surely someone would question how the f*** I was going to sing?"
Lee continued: "I could see straight away they were very confused when I walked in.

"The look on their faces as I began to sing was priceless - especially as I started to sway along to the words as well.
"Unsurprisingly they rejected me without even raising a smile.
"In fact, they still didn't smile as I walked out and asked if it was because my voice had sounded too flat!"

Lee also wrote about his 2012 X Factor experience for the , claiming he was put into a special "pen" for disabled hopefuls when he arrived at the Arena.
"I was put into 'Pen B' which was for disabled auditionees," he wrote.
"I thought it apt that the staff referred to them as Pen A and Pen B as if we were animals going to the slaughter."
Lee also admitted that he was wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan Lost Voice during his audition.

The comedian was dismissed by producers, meaning he never got to perform for the X Factor judging panel, who at the time comprised of Gary Barlow, Rita Ora, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh.
James Arthur went on to win the 2012 series of the ITV1 singing show.

Meanwhile, on Sunday night Lee was crowned the champ of Britain's Got Talent 2018 following a nail-biting final.
The comedian found himself in the top three alongside fellow funnyman Richard White and singer Donchez Dacres.
Speaking via his via his synthesizer after his win, Lee said: "I have been blown away by the support of the judges and general public.

"I've had so much love for everyone and I’m grateful for it all."
Lee even managed to make a joke when Dec told him he will doing his set for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.
He quipped that he loves the Queen, especially her song Bohemian Rhapsody.
