EMMERDALE stars Mark Jordan and Laura Norton have revealed there are "dark and upsetting scenes" to come as Amelia Spencer goes missing.

The pair are involved in a harrowing storyline as Daz's daughter vanishes.

During an exclusive interview with The Sun Online, the actors told us there is trouble brewing on the Dales.

Amelia vanishes and Mark , who plays Daz, hints fans of the soap will be in for a huge shock when they discover what happened.

He told us: "It definitely turns dark and there are some really upsetting scenes to come...

"There's a lot [of talk] about Daz kidnapping her, since he has been pushed out of the village from his brother.

"It may be one of numerous things but I think that whatever has set it off - it might be the surprise later that everybody else will invest in.

"It's not what it seems."

Laura, who plays Kerry Wyatt, said: "It will be more than meets the eye."

She explained that Kerry will be torn as she waits for the youngster to come home.

The actress added: "It's a mixed bag of emotions because at times you are hanging on to the fact that she is going to come back, she's just run away.

"Then the more time goes on the more worries you start to get that something might have happened to her.

"Then you start to find out things about the family. I think for this family group it is really good, and I think it's going to be good for the viewers to see a different side to all of us."
