THE Britain's Got Talent judges were left shrieking with fright tonight when an impostor ran across their platform and hit their buzzers.

The four stars were giving their critique to act Magus Utopia when the stage invader appeared, sprinted across the podium and managed to hit three of the four buzzers while being chased by the show's security, making their loud noises ring out around the theatre at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden jumped out of their seats with shock, their mouths hanging open, while Simon Cowell looked furious.

As the women took to their chairs again, Amanda - who wowed viewers in a see-through dress - said "I need a gin" while Simon had his head in his hands and said: "This is one of those nights."

As the audience booed the impostor, host Declan Donnelly - who had earlier filmed a funny opening sequence where he wore a sequinned mini-dress - said: "Back to where the focus should be, on the act."

As Simon quickly checked it wasn't part of the act, he then said: "Well you never know."

Then he looked in the direction of the unwelcome guest and said: "By the way for you" then hit his buzzer again and appeared to give them the finger just as the camera panned away.

His comments led the audience to cheer while the act clapped on stage.

It isn't the first time the show has had to deal with a stage invader, as back in 2013, musician Natalie Holt threw eggs at Simon Cowell, a year after competing on the programme.

Meanwhile his other hit show, The X Factor has also seen a number of impostors break onto the stage during a live performance.

Honey G stage invader revealed in video from X Factor audience

In 2014, comedian Lee Nelson ran on during boy band Stereo Kicks performed, and DJ Calvin Harris made an infamous appearance with a pineapple on his head back in 2009.

More recently, five men made it on stage while Honey G was rapping in 2016.

This week's live shows have already had its fair share of incidents, as the show was forced off air due to technical difficulties for a number of minutes last night.

Meanwhile on Britain's Got More Talent after the results show, Simon was left horrified after David made a rude joke about him sleeping with Amanda.
