CORONATION Street viewers were moved to tears by Jack P Shepherd's heartbreaking performance tonight as brave David Platt described his horrifying rape ordeal to police.
Fans of the show flocked to Twitter to pout out their emotions as he finally reported Josh Tucker.

David has finally taken the decision to fight for justice following the sexual assault after meeting another one Josh's victims.
In a recorded police interview, dad-of-two David answered questions about the rape, declaring he is willing to go to court to testify against his attacker.
Tears streamed down his face as he talked about it and viewers were also left sobbing.
Viewers were moved to tears by Jack’s performance as his character struggles to comprehend what Josh did.

Sitting in front of a camera, David tells the officer: “I don’t remember much about getting back to his flat because he drugged me.
“He told me. He told me he’d slipped GHB in my drink. Everything is just a bit of a blank.
“I remember bits, he was trying to touch my leg and I was pushing him off but I couldn’t. When I woke up the next morning that’s when I realised what he’d done.”
As David falters, the policeman urges him to continue and asks: “What had he done?”
He replied: “He’d attacked me,” and choked back his tears.
As the officer pushes him to open up more, David says he knew he had been targeted by Josh because of the pain he had felt.

David breaks down before he takes a moment to compose himself.
The hairdresser adds: “I hate this, you know. I hate him. I have to be here and go through this while he’s out.
“He raped me and I just feel like I should have been able to do something.
“I should have been able to stop him but I couldn’t stop him.
Viewers couldn't stop crying and many went on Twitter to praise Jack's acting.
