Coronation Street spoilers: Rosemary Piper exposed as she tries to con Gail Platt into handing over thousands of pounds
As Roy discovers Gail is planning to hand over a large sum of money he decides to find evidence that the psychic is a conwoman
GAIL Platt comes very close to being conned out of thousands of pounds in Coronation Street next week.
She plans to pay so-called psychic Rosemary Piper three thousand pounds to remove the ‘curse’ that her dead serial killer husband Richard Hillman is supposed to have put on the Platt family.
After son David confesses to her that he was drugged and raped by vile mechanic Josh Tucker, Gail, played by Street legend Helen Worth, will contact the dodgy clairvoyant and tell her she’s got the cash for the curse to be lifted.
In reality, Gail doesn’t have the money but is desperate to save her family from any further trauma. She fills in an application form for a payday loan and puts Roy Cropper down as her employer, hoping that no one will actually bother checking up on it.
Obviously they do and Roy, actor David Neilsen, is so concerned he pays Gail a visit and asks her what she needs the money for. She’s forced to admit that she needs three grand to pay Rosemary and get rid of the curse.
