Coronation Street’s Gary Windass beats up Pat Phelan as he takes revenge on twisted murderer

CORONATION Street’s Gary Windass punches Pat Phelan as they come face to face once again.

Last week viewers watched as Gary, played by Mikey North, tracked down the evil killer (Connor McIntyre) to his caravan in North Wales.

And now a sneak peek from Wednesday’s episode, which aired on today’s This Morning,  shows him getting his revenge once and for all.

In the clip Pat appears to be tied up and trying to wind up Gary, who is joined by Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).

Furious, he wacks Pat in the face and he falls to the ground, with a bloodied face and Gary looks set to do more damage judging by the determined look on his face.

Before they brawl, Gary and his mate, who was brought along as a heavy, will raid Pat’s caravan.

Pat returns and finds them and manages to overpower Gary – but despite Pat looking ready to beat him with a baseball bat, Gary ends up getting the upper hand.

Mikey has also confirmed that he won’t die during Pat’s final spree, in gory scenes which will be aired after the watershed at 9pm every night this week.

He said: “I’ve just signed again for another year so this will be my 11th year which is crazy, but it’s been my best year, I’m very happy at Corrie."

Earlier this month, we revealed how Phelan’s exit storyline would play out and can confirm his reign of terror will end when he either loses either his life or his liberty in a tense standoff.

Teasing the dramatic scenes, actor Connor said: “What other way could it be?”

“I haven’t seen it yet. I thought I’d watch it with the viewers.”

Talking about his exit, he added: “This is Pat Phelan wounded and spiteful, so he does something spiteful to Eileen that dismantles the whole love thing.

“He doesn’t make a lie of anything that they’ve felt in their relationship in the past because he does love her, but he does say something very spiteful.

“He wants to hurt her because he is hurt. This is the last stand.”
