Twisted builder Pat Phelan, played by Connor McIntyre in the ITV soap, is set to make his long –awaited return to the cobbles in dramatic late-night episodes of Coronation Street next week - as he storms Michelle Connor and Robert Preston’s wedding at the Bistro, leaving a trail of carnage in his wake.

It all kicks off when Gary Windass brings a beaten and unconscious Phelan back to the builder’s yard tied up like a turkey, having tracked the cobbles killer down to a caravan park in Wales.

Instead of calling the police, Gary decides to take Phelan back to Weatherfield himself. Bad decision Gary, very bad.

Back in Weatherfield, Phelan comes round and starts making nasty jibes about mum Anna and Gary snaps and gives his old adversary a vicious kicking.

But Gary is left terrified when suddenly the serial killer rears up, free of his restraints, and hurls a chair at him, and pulls out a gun! Furious and full of rage, he then ties Gary up before heading back to Coronation Street with one thing on his mind – revenge!

His first port of call is No.11 where Eileen is horrified when Phelan barges his way into the house. But - with Seb Franklin and Nicola Rubinstein living there too – a gunshot rings out. Who’s been shot?

But who will make it out alive?

Phelan then heads over to the Bistro carrying his first casualty. He hones in on doctor Ali Neeson demanding he carries out first aid on his victim. But will it be enough to save their life?

An increasingly unhinged Phelan then grabs a hostage and locks himself in the kitchen as the police surround the Bistro.

Will everyone make it out alive? And will Phelan finally pay for his atrocious crimes?

Mikey North who plays Gary recently told Sun Online: “It is all going to come full circle in the end and it will end where it all began in some ways.

"I think it is really nice and it’s great to be a part of it. Gary is the one person who has never had the wool pulled over his eyes about Phelan, whereas a lot of people have.”
