Lily James wears a vintage wedding dress and downs prosecco to celebrate Royal wedding after rumours she’s engaged to Matt Smith
LILY James celebrated the Royal Wedding by wearing a vintage wedding dress and knocking back prosecco.
The 29-year-old celebrated Harry and Meghan’s big day with pal Emma Freud, who joined Lily in wearing a white vintage dress with a lacy veil.
Embracing many a Brit’s popular pastime, the pair swigged prosecco from the bottle, with a cigarette one hand and a box of fish and chips on their laps.
And while Lily watched the nuptials on the TV like the rest of us, she is slightly more connected to the royals than most, as she’s dating Matt Smith who plays Prince Phillip in The Crown.
The pair has fuelled rumours they’re engaged this year when the Mamma Mia star attended the Baftas with a huge diamond ring on her finger.
However she later insisted that the rock was only on her wedding finger as she’s “not superstitious” about where she wears rings.
She told PorterEdit in an interview: "I’m just not very superstitious about rings.
"It’s stupid, probably, but I just put rings on any finger.
"Also, that was a f**k-off ring. I mean, Jesus. That ring’s worth one million pounds…”
It was previously revealed by The Sun's Bizarre column that Matt is desperate to have kids with Lily.
He said: "I am thinking about kids quite a lot - I’d like a lot of them!
"A lot of my friends have children and, dare I say, I think I would be quite a good dad.
“I guess in the fantasied version of my life I have a big family and loads of dogs.
"But who knows what type of dad you’ll ever going to be.”
