The racing ace, 33, struggled to keep his gaze at eye level as he joined the stunning brunette at her table at the star-studded amfAR gala in Cannes on Thursday.

Lewis, dressed in a dodgy pinstripe suit, was later seen working the room at Hotel du Cap as he flirted with stars including Adriana Lima, Ellie Goulding and Mila Jovovich – but avoided an awkward run-in with ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, 39.

Julia, 37, was recently linked to newly-single Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, with the pair going on a number of secret dates in West London.
