Coronation Street fans shocked as Zeedan Nazir punches man to save wife Rana as she kisses Kate Connor in an alleyway
CORONATION Street fans were left shocked after Zeedan Nazir punched a man who was assaulting his wife Rana as she kissed her girlfriend Kate Connor in an alleyway.
Viewers couldn’t believe their eyes as the restaurant owner rushed to the couple’s rescue and left the attacker bleeding on the floor.
Fans took to Twitter to praise Zeedan for his quick-thinking, as he left his victim knocked out in a pool of blood on the floor.
One wrote: “Go zeedan what a punch.”
Another commented: “YES, Zeedan. Nice one. HERO. ”
A third shared: “Zeedan to the rescue… ”
In tonight’s episode of the soap, Zeedan, played by Qasim Akhtar, hears Kate and Rana screaming from an alleyway.
He rushes to find a man assaulting the women and swiftly punches him to the ground, shouting: “Why don’t you pick on someone your own size?”
As the man – who had previously harassed them in a nearby bar – lay on the floor still and bleeding, Kate, played by Faye Brookes, turned to Zeedan and said: “Thank god you were passing!
“Come on let’s get out of here. Let’s go!”
The trio ran off leaving the injured attacker lying there alone.
It comes as Zeedan and Rana’s marriage appeared to be over for good earlier in the episode.
Rana, played by Bhavna Limbachia, told her disappointed husband that she is with Kate now and wants to get a divorce.
Elsewhere in today’s show Gemma Winter, played by Dolly-Rose Campbell, left fans in stitches when she made a sex joke about Prince Harry.
The kebab shop worker admitted she found the royal groom-to-be “well fit” and said she would “proper give him one”.
Viewers rushed to Twitter after finding her joke hysterical during a discussion about tomorrow’s royal wedding with Rita Sullivan and Liz McDonald.
One wrote: “He’s well fit that Harry, I’d proper give him one. Oh, we love you Gemma. ”
