Lucy-Jo Hudson deletes old loved-up tweets about estranged husband Alan Halsall despite insisting split is amicable

LUCY-JO Hudson deleted a series of loved-up tweets involving her estranged husband Alan Halsall last night, despite the couple insisting their recent split was amicable.

The Doctors actress, 35, trawled through tweets from happier times and erased the posts from December 2016 and May and June 2017.

One deleted message read: "What a wonderful evening @alanhalsall & I had last night raising money 4 @kidneysforlife @VictorsHale @BessamFarjo️."

Another credited Alan with making her birthday special: "What a night, what a team, what a laugh! Best birthday present ever @TheCrystalMaze. Thankyou so much @alanhalsall…"

A third was from their time at last year's Soap Awards: "Soap Awards 2017 with my handsome hubby @alanhalsall xxx."

Earlier this month The Sun exclusively revealed the couple were going their separate ways after nine years of marriage.

Alan, 35, who plays mechanic Tyrone Dobbs, joked to pals that he is having a mid-life crisis.

The couple, who met on the set of the ITV soap in 2002, have spent the past eight months supervising building work on a five-bed dream home but are now living apart.

Yesterday Alan put the split behind him as he jetted off to Barcelona on a lads' holiday.

He took to social media to complain that he had to be up before 4am for a flight to Barcelona.

Alan and Doctors star Lucy-Jo wed in 2009 and have a four-year-old daughter called Sienna-Rae.

A source said: “It’s very amicable but they’ve decided to go their separate ways.

“Alan’s been joking that he’s having a mid-life crisis and he went and treated himself to a brand new car five days ago. It’s a difficult time for both of them.

“They’re devastated the marriage is over but have vowed to stay friends. They still really care for each other.”

Alan splashed out £35,000 on the convertible Mercedes motor.

Last month he also attended the opening of Harley-Davidson’s new showroom in Manchester and told fans he fancied treating himself to one of the motorbikes.

The source said: “He was referring to Lucy as his ex-wife and joking about having a mid-life crisis. He seemed in pretty good spirits, though.”

Earlier this year Alan had a lads’ holiday to Marbella in Spain and two months ago showed off new hair implants on Twitter.

Last year he was dubbed a secret hunk by Corrie fans, who noticed that he had been working out.

Alan and Lucy-Jo, who played Katy Harris in Corrie from 2002-05, split two years ago after admitting that their relationship had lost its spark.

After four months they decided to give their marriage another go.

At the time it was rumoured Lucy-Jo had grown close to actor Andy Moss, 35, her co-star in the daytime BBC drama.

But she insisted the claims were “absolute nonsense”.

In 2016 Alan and Lucy-Jo got planning permission for a new mansion featuring loft-style bedrooms and a media room in Salford. Work on the property is still under way.

A Coronation Street spokeswoman declined to comment.
