BEBE Rexha is one of the stars of Rita Ora’s controversial new song Girls, which sparked outrage from the usual brigade of social media snowflakes for an apparent “tone deaf” approach to bisexuality.

But the feisty US singer opens up about her own “fluid” sexuality on the new episode of my podcast The Dan Wootton Interview, which made the decision for her to take part in the song alongside Charli XCX and Cardi B a no-brainer.

Asked by Dan Wootton if she could see herself with a male or female partner, Bebe replied: 'I just go with the flow'

When I asked if the single star – who has been open about having romantic relationships with both sexes – could see herself with a male or female partner in the future, she replied: “Yeah I could. I just like go with the flow.

“At the end of the day love is love and I don't think it should be labelled any which way. I've never looked at it like that in my life. It's whether someone makes you feel something in your tummy or not.

“I think that's how my parents raised me, everyone's equal and you can just love who you want and be fluid. And then sometimes when you travel around the world you see certain things about how people view sexuality and it sucks.”

That’s not to say she’s not a little nervous about her father listening to the raunchy song for the first time.

She giggles: “After I’m like, ‘I just wanna kiss girls, girls…’ My dad’s gonna be like, ‘What’s that song about?’”

Bebe – one of my favourite new popstars because of her big tunes and fearlessness – agreed to be on the track after a night out at dinner with Rita, who has also spoken over the last week about her previous relationships with women.

She recalls: “We were all joking. We posted something on our Instagram of us kissing and I really freaked out – but I was just like we're sisters.”

The In The Name Of Love and Bad Bitch singer recently travelled to London to film the as-yet-unreleased video, which she reveals features Rita “literally making out with herself”.

As for her role in the clip, she discloses: “It's me with a whole bunch of mes but in mirrors. I'm making out with myself in mirrors, like kissing myself.

“I guess it's like a flip on like wanting to kiss girls but then also they wanted to do a double-twist where it's like I want to f***ing kiss myself.

“So here you're gonna watch me make out with myself in the mirror right now, so it's like I'm literally kissing myself and like Rita's making out with herself full on. It's hot.”

For right now Bebe – who releases her highly anticipated debut album Expectations on June 22 – admits she hasn’t found a man or woman to make her happy.

She explains: “Am I single? I'm very single. It's very hard to meet anybody in the business. If it's a guy, if it's a girl, usually in the business they all cheat, usually they're all hoes on each end, it sucks.

“This is really so negative, right? No but it's true. It's very hard, so I might just remain single forever and just buy eight million vibrators! And just be free. And you won't get pregnant. It's perfect.”

It’s that empowered attitude that has seen her refuse to join other celebs like Sheridan Smith and Will Young on dating apps, explaining: “No I don't do Tinder because I felt Tinder was more of like a just in and out thing.

“I have to have feelings. I honestly don't know any of those apps.”

But Bebe – who wrote Eminem’s hit track Monster and recently performed with him on stage at Coachella – hasn’t given up on the idea of love, which is sensible given she’s only 28.

She says: “At the end of the day I feel like we all just want to be loved and love and find love.

“You also want to feel like you can go somewhere and share your deepest secrets on your day with somebody who doesn't judge you and can still love you just that way.”

But she won’t compromise her strong views, adding: “We are brainwashed to think that the power lies between our legs when the power really lies in our heads. One hundred per cent.”

That’s my girl.
