Kim Kardashian’s trainer reveals star only eats food that ‘grows off trees’ – just hours before she’s slammed for promoting diet lollipops
KIM Kardashian's personal trainer has revealed the star drinks "only water" and eats just "real food" to achieve her incredible curves.
However, Melissa Alcantara's comments came just hours before her famous client was slammed by fans for promoting appetite-suppressing lollipops on her Instagram account.
In a new interview with , the trainer said: "It's mostly about eating.
"People think it's about the exercise, but if you're not eating right consistently then it's just never going to happen.
"Her (Kim) diet has come a long way and changed a lot in terms of eliminating processed foods and getting her to eat real food.
"So if it comes in a box...or if it didn't grow off a tree or the earth didn't give it to you then stay away from it.
"Fresh foods, unprocessed foods, and only water."
Melissa, who has seen her own Instagram followers on her account @fitgurlmel soar to over 370k since beginning to work with the mum-of-three a year ago, also revealed that she trains the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star at 6am up to six times a week for 90 minutes.
The trainer - who has also taken sisters Khloe and Kourtney through her signature hardcore workouts - revealed she does a mixture of weights, high-intensity interval training with steady-state cardio with Kim, 37.
However, just hours later the successful businesswoman was criticised by her fans for promoting appetite-suppressing lollipops.
Viewers rushed to comment on a picture of her looking at the camera while sucking a red lollipop.
The reality star captioned the image: " You guys… just dropped a new product. "They’re Appetite Suppressant Lollipops and they’re literally unreal.
"They’re giving the first 500 people on their website 15% OFF so if you want to get your hands on some… you need to do it quick! "
The brand claim the lollipops, which contain 35 calories, suppress appetite and cravings.
However, her fans were not happy with the paid-for advert and called out her association with the diet brand.
One wrote: "Literally unreal? like not actually real? cuz you're right it does sound like a bag of baloney. "You can afford to be choosy about what you promote, think about what you're putting out there and who you're putting it to."
Another commented: "Promoting something unhealthy like this to her 111 million followers is also her responsibility considering how young girls look up to her. Now just because she posted this they will think that starving themselves is cool because 'kim is doing it'."
They were joined by TV presenter Jameela Jamil who took to Twitter to take a swipe at the star.
She wrote alongside screen shots of Kim's post: "No. F**k off. No. You terrible and toxic influence on young girls. I admire their mother’s branding capabilities, she is an exploitative but innovative genius, however this family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to."
In a second Tweet she shared: "MAYBE don’t take appetite suppressors and eat enough to fuel your BRAIN and work hard and be successful. And to play with your kids. And to have fun with your friends. And to have something to say about your life at the end, other than “I had a flat stomach.”

Both her tweets generated thousands of likes.
The uproar comes just a month after Kim praised Melissa for helping her get in shape.
She first sought her help after being unhappy with pictures of her taken while on holiday in Mexico last year.
