As troubled Ant continues his treatment in rehab, Amanda has offered to stand in for him during the talent show finals
AMANDA Holden says Ant McPartlin "will be missed" on the live Britain's Got Talent Shows - but offered to stand in for the troubled presenter.
The judge joked that "Mand and Dec" had a "good ring to it" after saying she would be on hand to help Dec present without his best pal.
Amanda said: "I think he will be missed, but I think Dec will do a stirling job.
"Alesha and I are on hand to step in.
"I think Mand and Dec's got a good ring to it."
Ant was arrested for drink-driving in March and has since been in rehab to treat alcoholism, it’s not known when he will return to screens and friends have said that the decision is firmly in the hands of his doctors.
Britain's Got Talent picked up a Bata for best Entertainment Programme at the Royal Festival Hall tonight.
Speaking backstage Alesha said "It's the best feel-good show we've got on TV.
"When it comes on you can watch it with your whole family.
"It's heartwarming, cosy and light-hearted.
"It makes you smile, laugh and cry sometimes - its escapism."
Amanda’s words come as Dec seemed to avoid the spotlight after hiding when Britain's Got Talent scooped their gong.
He joined Amanda, Alesha Dixon and the BGT producers on stage but kept a low profile behind his co-stars.
Amanda could be seen trying to pull 42-year-old Dec to the front of stage, but laughed when he seemed to refuse the invitation.
It was expected that Dec would land the Best Entertainment Programme award for his work on Saturday Night Takeaway.
But instead he won for his efforts with Britain's Got Talent, which he also hosts with Ant McPartlin.
