Jake Quickenden reveals he’s secretly insecure about his body despite stripping off in The Dreamboys

JAKE Quickenden has revealed he’s actually insecure about his body despite stripping off in male dance group The Dreamboys.

The 29-year-old has joined the troop for a 40 date tour around the UK, but despite regularly showing off his body – Jake has admitted he isn’t actually as body confident as people think.

Speaking to The Sun Online about stripping off in the show, he said: “I am probably not as body confident as people probably think.

“I have my own hang ups on things as well.”

But the reality star works out a lot and is more than happy being naked in his own home, saying: “I feel like I go to the gym and work out as much as I can and I am not really too bothered as long as I am healthy in myself.”

He continued: “I think I am a naturist anyway, I am always in my boxers. I like to be comfortable.

“I don’t really like wearing clothes when I am in my own environment. I don’t get embarrassed taking my top off.”

Jake, who recently split from his fiancée Danielle Fogarty, is really enjoying being in the show, telling us: “It is so fun. When I went and met the lads and they showed me what the show was going to entail this year, it’s more dancey, more amazing choreography.

“A lot of the lads are trained dancers. It’s really fun and I am learning how to dance.

“I do a solo routine to Pony by Ginuwine. It’s probably not as good as the one from Magic Mike but I give it a good go.”

And despite being in a room with screaming women, Jake isn’t fazed.

“I don’t notice the female attention. For me it’s just a job. It’s just about turning up and performing and then going home,” he added.
