EAMONN Holmes made a dirty joke about Ruth Langsford’s pants on today’s This Morning.

It came after Loose Women previewed a segment where they were speaking about whether you should wear “bad pants” in front of your partner.

Andrea McLean said: “Vanessa Fletz has said you should never shave your legs or wear bad pants in front of your partner so how important is it to maintain some mystique in your relationship?”

As they panned back to the This Morning studio, Ruth said: “Ooh I’m looking forward to that one. Never wear bad pants… have I ever worn bad pants in front of you?”

Eamonn smirked and said: “It depends on what you mean by bad? No darling, I always think they look…”

Ruth laughed and then said: “Have you ever looked and gone: ‘Ooh ugly pants. I don’t like them.'”

Eamonn replied: “No darling, it’s not so much the pants as what’s in them.”

Ruth then threw her head back and laughed and said: “I shouldn’t laugh at that but that’s very funny.

“Before you complain that my husband’s horrible to me, I find it very funny.

“Anyway, I bet she’s got great pants… Alison Hammond.”

Both Ruth and Eamonn struggled to contain their giggles as she added: “She’s on the Isle of Wight today with details of a fantastic prize.

“Have you got your best pants on?”

Alison couldn’t control her laughter and was in hysterics as she said: “Oh Ruth, Ruth, Ruth why?”

She gathered herself and went on to present her segment.
