Danny Dyer is desperate for ‘dream’ role in new Star Wars film
The EastEnders star has apparently been hitting up movie bosses to sign him up the new Hollywood blockbuster
DANNY Dyer has admitted it would be his "dream" to land a role in the next Star Wars film.
The EastEnders star has apparently been hitting up movie bosses to sign him up the new Hollywood blockbuster, which as yet is untitled.
It comes coincidentally as fans mark Star Wars Day today - May 4 - a play on the catchphrase "May the Force be with you".
According to the Daily Star, he told soap fans at the BBC soap’s Elstree studios: “Star Wars? I’d love a go.
“Any part would do. It would be a dream.”
Dyer, who plays Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter, has previously hinted at being a fan of the epic space series, sharing links to Star Wars-inspired videos on his social media pages.
Back in 2013 he posted a picture of a Darth Vader-themed condom with the words: "I will not be your father."
In 2015 he starred in a Star Wars sketch for Children In Need alongside Lord Sugar, Lewis Hamilton, Martin Freeman and will.i.am.
Dyer's character in cult film Human Traffic, Off, thought Han Solo was an “intergalactic drug dealer”.
Last month, it was reported that the 40-year-old has ditched kebabs in a bid to lose weight.
