Who won the Palme d'Or and Grand Prix in 2017?
The 70th Cannes Film Festival took place from 17 to 28 May 2017.
The opening and closing ceremonies were hosted by Italian actress Monica Bellucci.
The Palme d'Or was awarded to The Square, a Swedish film directed by Ruben Östlund. The film also served as the closing night film of the festival.
The Grand Prix was award to BPM (Beats per Minute), a French film directed by Robin Campillo.
The Palme d'Or is the highest prize awarded at the Cannes Film Festival and was introduced in 1955 by the festival's organising committee.
The Grand Prix, an award bestowed by the jury of the festival, is the second-most prestigious prize of the festival after the Palme d'Or.
