CORONATION Street fans are convinced that Eva Price won't give over her newborn baby Susie, ahead of next week's shocking departure of ex fiancé Aidan Connor.
Tonight's episode saw Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) prepare to hand the baby over to Toyah Battersby and assure her that she has no regrets over being a surrogate.
After Toyah makes a video call to partner Peter Barlow and shows off their new arrival, Eva is concerned that the truth will come out.
A concerned Eva asked: "So he didn't suspect anything?"
Toyah reassured her: "No, and I don't think he ever will. As long as you don't regret it?"
Eva claimed: "No, of course not, I'm happy to be of service... From now on I am Aunty Eva."
The official Coronation Street account asked social media users if they think Eva will be able to let go of her newborn.
One viewer replied: "Not for long I don't think! She will at first but think Aidan's death will change things too."
Another put: "Think once Aidan dies she will want Suzie back and then she'll leave with her."
A third Corrie addict claimed: "No, you can see the maternal side of her coming out on her face, bless her."
The second of Wednesday night's episodes saw Peter Barlow announce to a crowded Rovers Return that he's become a father again.
While Aidan Connor initially seemed jovial and congratulated Peter, he appeared to have concerns as he stared forlornly into his pint.
Actor Shayne Ward has revealed how he was "hyperventilating" with tears as he watched Aidan Connor's "heartbreaking" suicide scenes.
Speaking to The Sun and other press, he admitted: "My reaction to watching the episode was heartbreaking from start to finish.
"I was hyperventilating because of the tears. I think we captured it amazingly.
"I knew what was coming but it will be interesting to see the reaction. It's heartbreakingly beautiful."
Shayne continued: "I was bawling my eyes out watching that.
"Everything you've seen there was genuine heartbreak in the performance.
"It's something I wanted to capture straight away was a true and honest performance."
