Hideko/Theo

Hideko Kawa and Theo are from Sweet Art Lab, a London dessert brand.

Hideko is the former Head Pastry Chef of Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck and Elite Lab.

She is originally from Japan and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in London with distinction in 2005.

The chef fell in love with pastry at the age of ten when she attended a Christmas cake course with her mother.

Chris/Bjarni

Chris and Bjarni are from The Warren restaurant in Turnbridge Wells, Kent.

The restaurant's dessert menu includes creme brulée and whiskey and almond cake.

Chris was formerly the head pastry chef at buxted Park hotel in East Sussex and lives in Tunbridge Wells with his girlfriend.

Bjarni, or BJ, his sous-chef grew up in North Queensland Australia and has spent the past few years travelling and working all around the world.

Michael/Rebekah

Michael Coggan and Rebekah Clash are from St.David's Hotel in Cardiff.

Michael joined the team of Tempus At Tides restaurant as a pastry chef in 2017.

He has previously worked at various five star resorts such as Gleneagles Hotel in Perth, Scotland.

While working in Scotland he won a HIT (Hospitality Industry Trust) Pastry Scholarship and a Silver Award at the ScotHot food and drink show.

Darryl/Bharat

Darryl Collins and his sous-chef Bharat Chandegra are from Resorts World, Birmingham.

Darryl is a self-taught pastry chef who started his career at the Tredragon Hotel in Newquay.

He has a big love for the cocoa bean which he owes in part to his Trinidadian heritage.

Darryl is married and has two sons.

Marta/Julie

Marta Oliveira-Child and Julie are from Bom Bom Patisserie in Loughborough.

Marta founded the business in 2012 with the help of her husband Dan.

She developed her love of desserts from a young age while working in her mum's restaurant in native Brazil.

The chef came to England to study in 2006 and was previously a Sports Science researcher at Loughborough University.

Emmanuel/Sam

Emmanuel Bonneau and Sam are from The Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, London.

Emmanuel is the hotel's Chef Patissier.

In 2017 he was crowned Pastry Chef Of The Year by the Craft Guild Of Chefs.

He lives in Pimlico with his wife Monique.

When is Bake Off: The Professionals on Channel 4?

Bake Off: The Professionals kicked off on May 6 and continues on Sunday nights at 8.00pm on Channel 4.

The series has a total of ten episodes with six new teams introduced in the fourth episode.

It's being hosted by comedian Tom Allen and former Bake-Off contestant Liam Charles.

Top pastry chefs Cherish Finden and Benoit Blin are judging the competition this year.
