Where is A Very English Scandal filmed?
The cast of A Very English Scandal, including Hugh Grant, Ben Whishaw, Monica Dolan and Blake Harrison, have all been spotted filming the show:
Devon
Much of the series was shot on location in North Devon.
Hugh Grant (playing the lead of MP Jeremy Thorpe) and Ben Whishaw (playing Norman Scott) were spotted filming scenes for the show in Saunton Sands in 2017.
They were also seen at Chittlehampton, near South Molton.
Ahead of filming local residents were sent a letter giving notice that filming will take place in The Square.
Hertford
In November 2017 Hertford was transformed into a 1970's Devonshire town, as Ben Whishaw and Blake Harrison (Andrew Newton) filmed at multiple locations including Fore Street.
Local news reported how crew shot scenes across the town, from the Corn Exchange, outside a home on Old Cross, in front of The Salisbury Arms and down Castle Street.
Shop fronts and pub signs were given a 70s makeover, as Hertford became the show’s setting of Barnstaple in Devon.
