Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik spark rumours they’re back together as they kiss in New York
GIGI Hadid and Zayn Malik have been spotted kissing in public, giving a clear indication they are back together.
The model and ex One Direction star split six weeks ago but yesterday were seen smooching in New York City.
Zayn was seen leaning in to plant a kiss on her lips as they took a break from walking.
Gigi, who looked chic in a pair of ripped jeans and leopard print shoes, could be seen giggling as they shared their intimate moment.
The couple sparked rumours they had reconciled after the singer was spotted heading to her New York City apartment last week.
Gigi also “liked” a video Zayn posted on Instagram.
In mid March, the couple both confirmed their split with posts on social media.
It seems Gigi has been very much in Zayn’s thoughts, with the star recently revealing to Ryan Seacrest that his new single Let Me is about his ex.
He said: “I was aspiring to be in love with someone for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs, as we all do.
“Things change and we move forward in life. Times change, but that’s what I was thinking when I wrote it.”
In a statement about the split on Twitter, Zayn described their relationship as “meaningful and loving” and revealed the break up was a “difficult decision”, while Gigi said she would be “forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons” they shared.
Zayn wrote: “Gigi and I have a an incredibly meaningful , loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend.
“She has such an incredible soul. I’m grateful of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time.
“We love you all.”
Shortly afterwards, Gigi posted her own statement, which read: “Breakup statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years… not only in the relationship, but in life in general.
“I’m forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared.
“I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for.
“As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will always be.”
