When does Friday Night Dinner return?

The hit Channel 4 comedy has returned for its fifth season.

Its sixth episode airs at 10pm on June 8, 2018.

If you miss it you can watch it on - where you can currently watch series one to four.

Friday Night Dinner goes up against the news on BBC One and ITV.

Who's in the cast of Friday Night Dinner?

The line-up for the show includes some well-known comedy stars...

Tamsin Greig plays Jackie

Tamsin is a 51-year-old British stage and screen actress born in Kent and raised in London.

She found fame through Dylan Moran's sitcom Black Books, in which she played shopkeeper Fran Katzenjammer for three series, starting in 2000.

More recently she is known for starring in Episodes alongside Matt LeBlanc.

Simon Bird plays Adam

Simon, 33, is an English actor and comedian.

He shot to international stardom playing Will McKenzie in The Inbetweeners.

He crafted his love of acting and comedy at Cambridge University, when he was president of the famous Footlights amateur dramatic club.

Paul Ritter plays Martin

Paul, 52, is a British stage and screen actor.

He is most famous for his roles in films including Quantum of Solace, Son of Rambow, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and The Eagle.

He has also starred in numerous TV shows including Vera, The Hollow Crown and The Last Kingdom.

Tom Rosenthal plays Jonny

Tom is a 30-year-old British comedian and actor.

He is the son of television sports presenter Jim Rosenthal.

As well as Friday Night Dinner, he also plays Marcus Gallo in Plebs.

Mark Heap plays Jim

Mark is an English actor.

He has appeared in various TV comedy roles, often playing obsessive and self-deluded characters.

This includes struggling artist Brian Topp in Spaced, the pompous Dr. Alan Statham in Green Wing, and various roles in the sketch show Big Train.

More recently Mark starred in Benidorm.

What is Friday Night Dinner about?

Two brothers Adam and Jonny share their Friday night dinners at their parents home and, somehow, something always goes wrong.

The comedy is focused on the regular dinner experience of a British Jewish family on each Friday night.

It has been running since 2011.
