Jake Quickenden splits from fiancée Danielle Fogarty seven months after proposing
DANCING on Ice hunk Jake Quickenden has split from fiancée Danielle Fogarty seven months after popping the question.
I can reveal the pair called time on their three-year romance during a break in Rome on Tuesday.
The split comes after a series of explosive rows over Jake’s partying with newly single Love Island hunk and Dancing On Ice co-star Kem Cetinay. Danielle, daughter of superbike legend Carl, who Jake befriended during their time together in the I’m A Celeb jungle in 2014, is distraught.
A source said: “Jake and Danielle have been joined at the hip since her dad introduced them. But winning Dancing On Ice has meant Jake’s had other priorities. He’s been touring the country with Kem on the show’s tour and getting a lot of female attention, which hasn’t been easy for Danielle.
“Things aren’t going to get any easier on that front either, with Jake set to join The Dreamboys strip group. It’s caused a lot of friction and they’ve both decided to take a breather.
“They are now in the UK and are spending time with their families. The wedding is very much off for now.”
In awkward timing for the pair, they were due to pose for a glossy mag feature yesterday but sent photographers packing. Jake and Danielle have looked every inch the perfect couple since they fell for each other in 2015, when Jake was taken into the Fogarty fold.
Jake and Foggy hit it off in the jungle when Jake came second to the motorcycle ace. But Jake, who proposed in September, hinted at issues in his relationship during his stint on ITV’s Dancing On Ice in January. He was crowned winner with skate partner Vanessa Bauer but admitted his five-hour daily rehearsals had left him too tired to make love.
He said at the time: “At the minute I’m quite knackered. My groin is injured and I’m in pain, so it’s on hold at the minute. I’m trying to protect my groin.”
He’d best keep away from Danielle for the time being then.

Hip-hop king Kendrick Lamar has matched him on 15, after winning the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his album Damn this week.
Both Ed and Kendrick are up for top artist, as are Drake, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars – who has also landed 15 nominations.
The bash will air on NBC and broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 20, with performers and presenters yet to be revealed.

Tina beamed as she saw her life story portrayed on stage by Adrienne and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as ex-husband Ike Turner in an emotional rollercoaster at this world premiere. Hits including River Deep Mountain High, Proud Mary and Private Dancer were all present and correct.Even if at times her lesser known songs felt somewhat shoe horned into the piece.
It’s a story with light and shade covering the horrific domestic abuse she suffered at the hands of husband Ike and now, more than ever, Tina’s triump against him feels relevant in light of the MeToo movement.
