THIS Morning viewers were left outraged this morning when a mum-of-four appeared on the show to boast about having a favourite child.
Alisha Tierney-March is mum to Addison, nine, Harleigh, seven, Kennedie, two, and one-year-old Elijah but says her third child is her favourite.
Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield Alisha defended her position saying she openly tells her children that Kennedie is her favourite.
The 32-year-old lives in Derbyshire with her husband Julius, 47, who owns a carpentry company and says she prefers spending time with toddler Kennedie because she's "sweet and cuddly".
She explained: "When Kennedie came along, the other two were in school so I got those whole six hours together, I breastfed her which I hadn’t been able to do like my other children.
"Harleigh would have been my favourite, Addison was a really difficult baby and the other would scream from two in the afternoon to two in the morning, really, really hard work.
"I did find it really hard to bond with her although we’ve got that bond now ‘She isn’t anything like me whereas Harley she’s sporty.
However, Holly - who has three children - admitted she was worried about how Alisha's honesty might affect her other children later in life.
She said: "The alarm bells are ringing about how that will affect them...that thought living in your head and becoming an issue later on in life.Do you not worry about the impact that’s going to have on them?"
"I think I would...Although they’re my favourites they don’t get preferential treatment. They all get loved equally. My husband thinks Kennedy gets away with more, but I’m not going to punish a two-year-old, the way I do a seven or nine-year-old.
"Addison and Harleigh are at that pre-teen stage, one will dare the other to see how far she can push us so in that respect Kennedie is just nicer to be around."
Alisha also admitted she was disappointed when Elijah was a boy and said she had "cried for days afterwards" because she had wanted another girl.
"When I found out it was a boy, I was disappointed. He's hard work," she said.
"They will say, she's your favourite and I'll say, yeah she is. But when I sat down to talk to them before doing this, they said, 'We know she's your favourite but you still love us just as much.'
"They don't see it as a big deal, they see that age difference and that she's the baby, who is to say it doesn't change as she gets older. "
Viewers took to Twitter in their droves to blast Alisha for being so open with many saying her children will be hurt by her admission.
