Kim Kardashian praises fitness trainer for transforming her body as she shares bikini throwback

KIM Kardashian revealed she has been exercising up to six times a week as she thanked her personal trainer for getting her in shape.

The reality star, 37, admitted she was so much happier with her body after working out with Melissa Alcantara for over a year.

Sharing an Instagram snap of her flat stomach while sunbathing during a recent holiday in Turks and Caicos, the mum-of-three praised the celebrity trainer.

She wrote alongside the image: "Shout out to my trainer  who really changed my body.

"When I wasn’t happy with what I saw back in the mirror I spent a whole year training so hard 5 or 6 days a week putting in a lot of work and changed the way that I eat and there’s such a noticeable difference.

"I am firm and less cellulite and so much more confident.

"SO THANK YOU for waking up at 5am to do crazy body building workouts & sprints that I hate 😜& putting me on to this lifestyle."

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians favourite has been training with Melissa since seeing unflattering pics of herself on the beach in Mexico in April 2017.

Kim now exercises at her home around five to six times a week at 6am, meaning her trainer has to get up at 5am.

She works out for an hour and a half, before her kids get up, doing a mixture of low-intensity internal training, weight training and high-intensity interval training.

Under her trainer's direction, she is also now following a version of the ketogenic diet, which involves eating lots of good fats to curb hunger pangs, while cutting down on carbs.

Melissa told  that Kim is only allowed, "real food that's cooked (fresh) every day".

Processed foods like biscuits, breads, sauces and even salad dressing are officially off the table.

The celebrity trainer added: "Most likely if it comes out of a box, it’s not going to be good for you."

Melissa is a fierce bodybuilder who specialises in eight-week body sculpting programmes.

Her profile sky-rocketed after she appeared on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and she now has 301k followers on Instagram

She first got into fitness herself having gained 5st during pregnancy, triggering her to overhaul her lifestyle.
