When is Life on the Ward on BBC One?

The two-part show will be on screen this summer.

There is no official air date yet, but it's thought to be between 25 June and 8 July.

During this time, the BBC will launch a season of shows centred around the work of the NHS to celebrate its 70th anniversary.

What is Life on the Ward about?

The show will see four celebrities spend time inside one of London's biggest and busiest hospitals, King's College Hospital.

During their stay at the hospital, the famous faces will learn about the challenges faced by those working for the NHS.

The celebrities will work alongside vital members of NHS teams to experience first-hand what it's really like to work in such a busy hospital.

Who stars in Life on the Ward?

Paralympian gold medallist and Strictly Come Dancing star Jonnie Peacock, who contracted meningitis at age five and lost his lower right leg, stars in the BBC show.

Reporter Stacey Dooley joins him, as well as ex-politician Ann Widdecombe, who worked as a domestic in a cottage hospital while studying in the 1970s.

She was also Shadow Health Secretary between 1998 and 1999.

The final celeb is medical journalist Michael Mosley, who trained to be a doctor in the early 1990s.
