Host Eamonn Holmes asked the star if it was true he was appearing on the BBC’s celebrity ancestry show.

Boy George replied: “Yes I’m really excited about it because I don’t know anything about it.

“Obviously I know my relatives in Ireland, but I don’t know the history.

“My mum’s mother was found wandering the streets at six and that’s all we know. She was put in a home.

“I hope we come from a gypsy clan. I’m looking forward to it!”

“There was a thing we did and professionally you caused a problem as you turned up really late – and I’m talking six, seven hours for a rehearsal, and there was a whole crew standing by, but I remember thinking, I couldn’t not like you.”

Kerry laughed and admitted that did in fact happen.
