Sexual harassment cases at BBC almost DOUBLE since #MeToo campaign began
SEXUAL harassment cases at the BBC have almost doubled since the Me Too campaign began.
Reported incidents rose from 25 to 48 in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
Twenty-three new cases emerged since November.
The BBC said the majority have been “resolved” but nine are still being probed.
The figures — revealed after a Freedom of Information request, are in stark contrast to the three cases reported to management in 2016 — and just one in 2014 and 2105.
The # Me Too movement began on social media to encourage others to come forward and speak out about bullying and sexual misconduct in the workplace.
