Saturday Night Takeaway confirms Jason Derulo will perform in series finale as Dec presents alone

SATURDAY Night Takeaway has confirmed Jason Derulo will perform the End of the Show Show in the series finale.

The American singer, 28, will take his smooth vocals and energetic dance moves to Universal Orlando Resort, Florida on Saturday where he'll cap off the star-studded live special.

The programme made the announcement on Instagram, sharing a picture of Jason and writing: "We don’t just Want to Want him, we really do Want Him! #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

Denise Richards, 47, will be the guest announcer for this weekend's final.

Denise - who was married to actor Charlie Sheen - is best known for playing nuclear physicist Christmas Jones in the 1999 James Bond film The World Is Not Enough.

Declan Donnelly will be presenting the show alone again after Ant McPartlin went back to rehab.

Scarlett Moffatt and Stephen Mulhern will be on hand to help out, and Dec will be joined by a huge host of other big names - including Denise and Craig David - on the night.

A TV insider said: “Saturday Night Takeaway are determined to make sure the series finishes on a high.

“There are some great personalities joining Dec for the grand finale.

“Denise and Craig are both household names and boast the required amount of star power for a TV event of this scale.

“Next week's episode is on track to be even more amazing than last year's send off at Disney World, even with just Dec at the helm.”

Dec was all-smiles as he left home to head to the airport, where he flew to America by himself after presenting Saturday's episode alone for the first time in his 29 year career.

After Saturday's show, Dec admitted he'd barely slept the night before because of his nerves, but got a standing ovation from the studio audience as he first walked onto set.

His solo efforts didn’t go unnoticed and a peak of 8.6million viewers tuned in to see how he got on.

Although he didn’t mention Ant’s name, Dec made a couple of jokey comments about his absence and at the end of the show thanked viewers for their support.

Stephen Merchant says he thinks Dec Donnelly is doing a 'great job', despite what producers are saying

Ant did make an appearance in the programme, but it was only in a pre-recorded skit he had filmed with Dec before his arrest.

Ant was charged with drink-driving following a collision on March 18.

Scarlett Moffatt and Stephen Mulhern jetted out to the US two-days-ago along with the first group of lucky viewers who got a place on the plane.

In Florida, work is currently underway to build the enormous set where the show will take place.

The large set is made up of three stages in front of the river running through Universal’s Orlando resort.

Each of the three stages is being built around brightly coloured blue and red pillars.
