Tanya Bardsley wants to use gender selection to make sure she has a baby daughter with her husband Phil

Tanya, 36, has three boys with her husband, former footballer Phil, and a daughter from a previous relationship.

She admitted she longed to have a baby girl but as gender selection is illegal in the UK, she wanted to look into a way of getting his sperm to Cyprus so they could try the controversial selection process.

Speaking to her personal assistant, Tanya explained: “This is a secret. I want to have a baby girl.

“So my friend went to Cyprus and you take your husband with you. He has to nut in a cup.

She added: “I can get Phil to do it. But how do we get it to Cyprus? Do we freeze it? Do we keep it warm? A freezer bag maybe?”

Laughing, her PA promised he’d look into it for her.
