Despite Phelan surviving his fall into the sea on Friday, his confession to wife Eileen has lead some fans to believe it paves the way for Anna's return
CORONATION Street viewers have demanded Debbie Rush returns as Anna Windass now Pat Phelan's crimes have been exposed.

But after Phelan confessed his other evil crimes - namely killing three people and watching a fourth die right in front of him - to shocked wife Eileen Grimshaw on Friday, some viewers believe this paves the way for Anna's return.
This is despite the fact Phelan - played by Connor McIntyre - appeared to have died in icy waters after being sent falling to his death by Eileen (Sue Cleaver).
Even tonight's shock that he wasn't actually dead didn't stop fans of Anna hoping she will be released early from prison, because Eileen is currently prime suspect with police for her husband's crimes.
Either way, the fact someone else was responsible for the terrible goings on in Weatherfield should - in viewers' minds - help Anna be released, or at least get the chance to confront Eileen on screen.
A number of viewers tweeted Debbie after tonight's episodes, with one writing: "Come on #Corrie!! @debbie_rush needs to come back now!!" while another added: "Surely they can't keep Anna @debbie_rush locked up now."
A third tweeted: "I'm really hoping they release poor Anna! being locked away and framed by Phelan, and also I want Eileen to get released also!"
A fourth agreed, writing: "@debbie_rush There should be a cameo appearance from Anna Freed at the prison gates."
Others hoped Debbie would return, but in prison scenes with Eileen if she's unable to prove her innocence.
One wrote: "Looks like Eileen will be moving into Anna Windass Cell #CoronationStreet #Corrie", while another added: "#coronationstreet on the bright side eileen you could be bunking with Anna soon!"
A third commented alongside a gif from Orange is the New Black: "Waaiiiit a minute.....IF they bring Anna back are they gonna have her and Eileen meet in prison.
