Kylie Minogue says ‘marriage isn’t for me’ after split from fiancé Joshua Sasse
In her interview alongside a series of stunning photographs for Red Magazine, Kylie admitted she doubts she’ll ever walk down the aisle following her split from her last long-term love Joshua
KYLIE Minogue has admitted she doesn’t think she’ll ever get married following her split from Joshua Sasse.
In a heartfelt interview with Red Magazine, the 49-year-old singer also admitted their engagement felt like an “experiment”.
Kylie and actor Joshua split in last year and she’s been single ever since.
He meanwhile went on to get engaged just months later but was jilted by his fiancée just days before their wedding.
Speaking about her thoughts on marriage, Kylie said: I never thought I would get married. Just going through ‘being engaged’ seems like an experiment, because I’d never as a girl or in all my life had a vision of getting married.
“I don’t think marriage is for me.”
When asked about her break up with 30-year-old Joshua, Kylie said she had to take time away before coming back feeling stronger than ever.
She explained: “You can’t negotiate the downfall of your relationship carefully. I did have to rebuild myself, physically and mentally a bit. But no, 2017 was a great year.
“I knew where I stood. I knew what work I had to do and I did it.”
Last month, Kylie revealed she didn’t want people to feel sorry for her in an edition of The Dan Wootton Interview podcast.
She said: ““I fully understand that now so I hope that for all of my trials and tribulations that people, particularly women, can be inspired.
“Don’t feel sorry for me, I’m good.”
Next month, Kylie will mark her 50th in London with friends and family in a rare personal celebration.
Speaking about her milestone day, Kylie added: “I guess it’s different when it’s you who is 50. I mean look at people, I don’t know how old anyone is.

“Fifty now is very different to when I was 14. God, even 30 would seem ancient when I was 14.
“Your aunty would come over and you’d go, ‘She’s so old, she doesn’t understand anything about what music I’m listening to or what I want to wear.’”
