Peter Kay fans devastated after Car Share screening sell outs in TWO minutes
PETER Kay’s fans were gutted after the charity screening of Car Share sold out in TWO MINUTES.
Just 120 seconds after the tickets went on sale, fans complained all of the seats at the Blackpool Opera House had been taken.
They were elated to find out about the charity Car Share screening last week however, with Peter’s official Twitter account confirming they would be showing new episodes of his hit show.
The huge rush to get tickets was not surprising but fans couldn’t hide their frustration after finding they’d missed out.
One tweeted: “What the hell??? I had the tickets, complete checkout, 9 minutes left on my timer and they’re gone?!?!?!”
Another said: “Sold in 2 mins. My tickets were reallocated whilst I was entering my card details and now I can’t get any.”
A third tweeted: “How can every ticket be sold out on @TicketmasterUK within 10 seconds in all areas and all prices for Peter Kay Car Share Blackpool.”
After the tickets sold out, Peter's Twitter account then announced they would be holding a second screening for those who missed out on the first.
The event will be held one day before on Friday April 6.
All funds raised from the event, which is being held at Blackpool’s Opera House, will go to The Lily Foundation.
In a statement on Ticketmaster’s website, Peter said: “The Lily Foundation is an inspiring charity that helps to improve the lives of children with Mitochondrial Disease.
“I’ve had first-hand experience of the Foundation’s work and I’m proud to raise both awareness and much needed funds to help with the inspiring work they provide to children and their families.”
In December, Peter used his Twitter account to announce the sad news that he would be cancelling his tour.

A statement read: “Due to unforeseen family circumstances, I deeply regret that I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects.
“This unfortunately includes my upcoming stand-up tour, Dance for Life shows and any outstanding live work commitments.
“My sincerest apologies. This decision has not been taken lightly and I’m sure you’ll understand my family must always come first.
“I’ve always endeavoured to protect my family’s privacy from the media.
“I hope that the media and public will continue to respect our privacy at this time. Once again, I’m very sorry.”
