CORONATION Street fans fear Pat Phelan is still alive.
The cobbles killer - who was played by actor Connor McIntyre in the ITV soap - plunged to his death in the sub-zero temperate seas after wife Eileen Grimshaw knocked him off a lighthouse.
But in true soap fashion, Corrie fans think he could return from the dead to kill again, because they haven’t seen a body.
One wrote: "HE'S NOT DEAD!!! Unless they show a body then this isn't over."
Another added: "With today being Good Friday will #Phelan rise again on Sunday? #CoronationStreet".
A third tweeted:"#Eileen showing emotion & stomping on #Phelan's hands. Much more believable! #Corrie. Falling in the sea means no body. He can come back #HaroldBishop".
“If we don't see the body, that means he isn't dead!!!!” said a fourth.
However, even a body isn’t enough to keep Corrie’s classic killers down.
Normal Bates with a briefcase himself, Richard Hillman, was pulled out of a canal in 2003 after trying to massacre wife Gail, step-children Sarah and David Platt and step-granddaughter Bethany.
Despite his cold, dead body being identified by wife Gail at the time, he’s still found his way back, kinda.
He recently returned to the cobbles through alleged psychic medium Rosemary Piper with a message for wife Gail.
Rosemary claims Richard had cursed her family in death and that’s why she’s been surrounded with rotten luck.
So could Phelan be following in Killman Hillman’s footsteps?
