I'M A Celebrity's Iain Lee is to star in forthcoming Channel 5 show Me and My: Mental Illness, which is to be broadcast this summer.
The radio and TV presenter, 44, has been open about his struggles with alcohol and drugs in the past and is currently getting divorced.
The dad-of-two has also had live spats with Matthew Wright, of The Wright Stuff, on Channel 5, and recently made up with Richard Madeley, on Good Morning Britain over a previous falling out, in recent weeks.
A source said: "Iain has been in a strange mental place since Australia and he's poured his heart out for the new show.
"He has suffered with mental health problems, anxiety and considered suicide.
"He will be sharing his inner most thoughts to viewers in the hope of helping others as well as trying to lay his own demons to rest."
Speaking on his Talk Radio show earlier this year Iain, who used to present Big Brother's Bit On The Side, said:"My marriage has ended. I’m getting divorced.
"It’s miserable and I feel weird after Australia. My head’s all over the place."
Frank Bruno took part in the show two years ago, speaking about his own mental health issues.
Ahead of going into jungle Iain opened up about using medication and meditation to keep himself stable.
