'I'M LESS EXTREME NOW'

Vicky Pattison admits doing fitness DVD made her ‘unhappy’ but insists she didn’t lose weight unhealthily despite pressure

The reality star denied going on on a 'wacky' diet to slim down from a size 16 to a size 6

VICKY Pattison revealed that losing weight didn't leave her "happy", but has insisted she didn't go on a "wacky" diet to slim down.

The Geordie Shore favourite, 30, opened up about dropping from a size 16 to a size 6 with her Vicky's Seven Day Slim DVD on Lorraine earlier today - and revealed she's now not so "extreme" with her lifestyle.

Speaking about the recent furore surrounding fitness DVDs - in which The Sun on Sunday exclusively revealed that Scarlett Moffatt's best-selling DVD was a scam after she secretly starved herself - Vicky said: "Like anybody who wants to lose weight - whether you're in the public eye or not - you are going to have to lower your calorie intake if you want to do that.

"You're going to have to make sensible decisions.

"On my journey I did go on a diet. But it wasn't ridiculous. It wasn't ludicrous. It wasn't anything wacky. "It was just about making more sensible decisions about what I was putting in my mouth."

Lorraine Kelly said: "That's the thing. You're only going to eat less - or sensibly. Not to say that you're starving yourself. And you do exercise that you love

Vicky agreed: "Of course."

The presenter brought up the reality star's dramatic weight loss: "The thing was, you went too thin and you weren't happy."

Vicky replied: "Well that's completely right. And I've also been really honest about that all the way through.

"And I don't blame the fitness DVD for that either. That's just who I am.

"If I'm exercising. If I'm eating right. I am going to be doing it for like hours a day.

"I'm going to be drinking kale smoothies and giving birth to avocados. That's the type of person I am."

The star continued: "If I'm on a night out, I'm on a night out. I'm quite extreme. But I've now come out the other side of that.

"As well as the fact I've now grown up, I'm also now 30. I think all of these things have led to me being a little bit more measured. A little bit more sensible. And finding the healthy way to be happy really."

However, as she smiled at the happy news she suffered an epic make-up fail as Lorraine viewers were able to see red lipstick on her white teeth.
