GOOD Morning Britain viewers have accused Richard Madeley of acting like a "real-life Alan Partridge" after he tried to outplay a Def Leppard star on today's show.
Joe Elliott appeared on the ITV morning show but viewers cringed as Richard took the guitar, causing Suanna Reid to burst out laughing.
He strummed the guitar before handing it back over to Joe saying: "How does it go from this?"
Joe then proceeded to show off his incredible skills as Susanna quipped: "That doesn't go well with my tinnitus".
Viewers took to Twitter to compare Richard to Steve Coogan's Alan Patridge with one writing: "Richard Madeley trying to outplay Joe Elliot of @DefLeppard on the guitar on #GMB *head in hands*".
Another shared a clip of Alan playing air guitar and wrote: "Now where have I seen Richard Madeley play Guitar like that before?"
It's not the first time Richard has been compared to Alan as last year he was mocked for asking a legal expert if Harvey Weinstein would "end up in the slammer?"
Meanwhile, viewers also called for Piers Morgan to return after waking up to see Richard hosting with Susanna.
Lynney Benton tweeted: "I just don't watch when not Piers! Hurry back Mr Morgan."
And Lee Heather added: "Bring back Piers."
But other fans were delighted that Richard was starring once more with one writing: "Love Richard madeley cant we keep him.....please."
Susanna said on today's programme: "I don't know, will Piers be coming back? That's always the question isn't it. You know, contract negotiating…"
But she quickly added: "Just dropping rumours."
Later on she retweeted two reports about rumours Piers had exited the show.
On one of the articles she shared, the presenter wrote: "Ably replaced by Richard Madeley who has just revealed he once dressed up as Ginger Spice, while Jonathan Ross posed as Posh."
However, as today's show was airing Piers shared a snap of him in LA with his wife Celia Walden where he has gone on holiday.

He captioned the pic: "Date night in Beverly Hills."
While the date of his return is yet to be confirmed, it is likely to be after Easter on Tuesday April 3.
The Twitter frustration over Richard's appearance comes as Iain Lee apologised to him for being "nasty" about his family.
