Who is Colin McGregor?

Colin McGregor is the eldest brother of actor .

He was born in 1969 and grew up in Crieff, Perthshire, in Scotland.

Colin, 49, was a "Topgun" pilot in the Royal Air Force for 20 years but retired in 2007.

The former fighter pilot, who flew Tornado GR4's, has always loved planes.

And his father instilled his interest in flying by taking him and Ewan to airshows from an early age.

He told what'sontv: "There were lots of Airfix models in our house and our dad was a big fan of flying as well.

"He used to take us to airshows and that's where I caught the bug, but Ewan really enjoyed it as well."

Has Colin McGregor ever appeared in any films?

Colin McGregor actually appeared alongside his brother Ewan in Trainspotting 2 but didn't have a talking part.

He revealed: "I was an extra in the background when they're on the tram in Edinburgh.

"I didn't have a line because I wanted to leave the real acting to him!"

What is RAF at 100 and when is it on?

To celebrate the centenary of the Royal Air Force, former RAF pilot Colin McGregor and his brother Ewan, take to the skies in some of the world's most iconic planes such as the Typhoon.

RAF at 100 follows the pair as they enjoy the thrills of famous aircraft including the Spitfire and the Chinook helicopter.

The brothers will also interview service personnel from throughout the RAF’s history.

Some of those featured will include a veteran of the Battle of Britain and former female members of the Air Transport Auxiliary.

The one-off episode will air on Sunday, 25 March, from 8.30pm until 10pm on BBC One.

The 90 minute documentary is to mark the centenary of the Royal Air Force.
