SATURDAY Night Takeaway bosses have revealed who will be joining Declan Donnelly as he goes it alone for the first time without Ant McPartlin next week.

Following Ant being charged for drink-driving and entering rehab, Dec and the ITV team released a statement saying this Saturday’s show will be cancelled - but the final two episodes will continue as planned.

Despite speculation that Stephen Mulhern or Scarlett Moffatt may step up to replace Ant in the iconic Geordie duo, Dec will front the show by himself.

But both Stephen and Scarlett will continue in their usual role as co-hosts for the show’s smaller segments to lend a helping hand.

Stephen Merchant, star of Logan and Ricky Gervais’ sitcom Extras, will appear in the voiceover booth as the weekly Star Guest Announcer.

Paloma Faith will be performing the End Of The Show Show and The Script will also be on hand for Singalong Live.

The show will also air at its usual time of 7pm next Saturday night, with the final shows being  screened on March 31 and April 7.

It has been cancelled for this week and fans mocked ITV's decision to still screen of Fast And Furious 5 that night, despite Ant's car crash.

Ant has reportedly given Dec his blessing to go it alone for the first time in their 30 year career together following his arrest.

In a statement released on the pair’s split official Twitter account, Dec wrote: "Whilst I never thought I'd be in this position, after much discussion and careful consideration we've decided that the remaining two shows of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead.

"We made a promise to take hundreds of deserving winners to Florida to watch the series finale, and we will honour that.

"Everyone at ITV and the Takeaway team feels we owe it to the audience to complete the series. Dec x.";

Executives were keen to keep the show on air, but agreed the decision would be left up to Dec who has never worked without his long-standing sidekick before.

The final episode of the series will still take place at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, where a string of prizes had been arranged for winning fans from throughout the series.
